Work permit is issued to an individual who has been employed by a company in Ghana. This comes in a letter form, and titled, 'PERMIT TO EMPLOY FOREIGN NATIONAL'. The company in whose name the permit was or will be issued, is also detailed in the letter. Note that if you are coming to work in Ghana for even a week you need a work permit be able to work legally
PROCESS: The work permit process takes NOT LESS than three (3) weeks when all relevant documents and forms are duly completed. The relevant fees are paid first before the application is submitted.
​​Residence permit is issued to foreign nationals to enable them stay legally in the country. There are several types of residence permit, but for the benefit of our work, we will restrict ourselves to what you need. Residence permit can only be issued when approval has been given to a work permit application. The individual will then be requested to submit his/her passport for the residence permit to be issued.
It must also be noted that the issuing of the residence permit takes a week or more to process.
